In week 8 started the project 96: SmartCare higher level of personal safety and care – new technology for you and your family! The project description can be found on the Demola’s homepage (http://demola.fi/node/901). There are four members in our project team: Sannamari, Ville, Antti and Johan.

The event offers venture capitalists, business angels and public financiers an excellent opportunity to see and meet exciting start-ups and follow presentations of pre-screened investment-seeking companies. It also provides a possibility to have pre-arranged one-to-one meetings between participating companies and VCs.

As I said in my last blog entry, from now on the language will be English.

This week we had a meeting with our client. There were also four new team members (I only knew that there were going to be two), so I was a little bit confused. (Actually later that week two of our new members decided not to participate in our project.) In the meeting we went through what we've been doing these weeks and what we're going to in the next weeks.

We presented the project at University, only document submission and last meeting with Nokia supervisors (22.03.2010) left.

Tällä viikolla pohdimme edelleen ohjelman toiminnallisuutta ja sitä, mitä tässä vaiheessa kannattaa tehdä kun aikaa on n. 3 kuukautta ja ohjelman laajennusmahdollisuudet lähes rajattomat. Joudumme todennäköisesti rajaamaan muutamia ideoita pois ja tekemään tässä vaiheessa melko tiiviin paketin.

In Cafe Internat on 8th of March at 9:00 am we will discuss about marketing and sell good ideas. Tutor Academy’s ”marketing guru” Timo Häkkinen will go through some pointers how to get your business idea or product of the ground succesfully.

Background
NFC is wireless short-range connectivity method. Products with built-in NFC will dramatically simplify the way consumer devices interact with one another, helping people speed connections, receive and share information and even make fast and secure payments. NFC has both “read and write cababilities and the communication between two NFC devices happens when they are brough within 4 cm from each other (www.nfc-forum.org). The technology is considered ready but still no killer applications are in sight?
