We have accomplished the initial task required for the project. We are tuning the project for doing bonus task. We have been able to calibrate and rectify two pairs of images from four firewire cameras (thanks to Qt and OpenCV). We have also created a UI for making the environment more user friendly. You will soon see a 3D video in a maemo device.

It has been a while since the previous blog entry so it's about time to give a status update :)

For the inpatient here is the short story:
We have successfully controlled devices with N900 and N810 using command line UI. Next step is to integrate the graphical UI with the communication library to provide a "bit" more intuitive user interface.

Last week we finally met with our partners and got some feedback. The basic idea looks good, but now it's time to focus on the look and to making using the app. easier. We moved the deadline foward so we'd have time to make the application really good and ready for publishing. The message has to come through to the user with one blink of the eyes...so we will use more visual messages and less long texts :)

Communications Widget Suite project just got finished from TUT software engineering project course point of view. Three working widgets have been implemented: Event Planner, Social Phonebook and Number search widget also containing the functionality of number resolver widget in it.

Tietojohtamisen vaihtuvasisältöinen projektikurssi (TITA-63108, TTY) käynnistyy aiheella Innovaatioprojektin johtaminen. Kurssi kehittää projektipäällikön valmiuksia ja taitoja ja se toteutetaan tiiviissä yhteistyössä Demolan kanssa.

Project is in its final stretch. Some functionality had to be dropped due to lack of time. Feature set is now final. Project team is exhausted but relieved to see some good progress. Few angry lines of code and a lot of testing remain. And some UI-bugs have to be annihilated.

We have three persons in our group. And one of them haven't done any concepts or prototypes before so in this stage the preassure is on Mikko's and Janne's shoulders. I being a project manager try to give different perspective and feedback but still have a lot of time in my hands. So I'm being the blogwriter this time around.
