InnoSummer 2010: Sensor Assisted Image Tagging
We are introducing a revolutionary camera application for Nokia N900 that helps users to tag their photos automatically, and therefore helps in finding and viewing photos from a huge photo collection. We call it the Livingstone!
The application is based on technology by Nokia Research Center, which incorporates a context recognition engine able to obtain information of the user's environment and activity. This complicated technology was made easy and usable by the Innosummer project. Livingstone also gained praise in the final evalution stage because of its achievement system, which was made to encourage users to tag their pictures.
The project was made during the Demola Innosummer 2010 in co-operation with the stakeholder Nokia. The project team consisted of a programmer, two user experience designers and a graphic designer:
-
Janne Jaakkola, UX design & Management
-
Riki Kawakami, UX design
-
Meelis Mikko, Programming
-
Vilja Heinonen, Graphic design
