Service Load Throttling and Monitoring for CoWS

NRC CoWS provides a common Web service platform for managing content in the cloud using standard Internet technologies; plus secured access to NAVTEQ JourneyView web service for next generation street level imagery and 3-D building data.  Such secured and managed setup requires a logging and monitoring mechanism in place to throttle the access traffic from all authenticated clients.

Project goal 

  • A SW component for CoWS and a Web UI for throttling, logging, monitoring and reporting the access to NAVTEQ JourneyView (3D map data); 
  • A Web UI for defining, managing access policies and analytic visualizing and reporting

Team

  • Java experience, HTTP, Servlet technology
  • 1-2 persons: one for logging and throttling; one for Web mgmt interface (UI)

  • Java Restlet framework, Tomcat/Servlet, Eclipse, MongoDB database, HTML4/Javascript
