OpenLight web tools

OpenLight is a development project that explores the potential of various social media tools in building a web based tool for lighting professionals. This web-based platform will bring together lighting designers and companies, opening possibilities for new kinds of dialogue and knowledge sharing. This database will enable the users to make their own searches and to represent the data in their preferred modes, for example on their web pages. For lighting designers a service like this will be wonderful; one can search for particular solutions, and product information, measurements and prices are only one click away. The demo version of the online service will be available for test use in Spring 2012.

The project goal:

The goal of the project is to provide concept and pilot product of web service.

Timeframe:

The preparations for the project and actual programming will begin in December. The project will end in February 2012.
