Project 96 SmartCare: weeks 8 and 9

In week 8 started the project 96: SmartCare higher level of personal safety and care – new technology for you and your family! The project description can be found on the Demola’s homepage (http://demola.fi/node/901). There are four members in our project team: Sannamari, Ville, Antti and Johan. All the boys have programming background and they have strong technical know-how but I only have the basic-skills in programming. I hope that is not going to be a problem! In addition this is everyone’s first project in Demola but, however, I think we manage.

Our first meeting was together with the client, Ecotec. At first they told us a little bit about the enterprise, its history and their products. The company had many subjects and wishes that could be implemented but they still gave us a space and free hands to decide what to do in our project.

In week 9 we had the meeting together with Ville and Riina from Demola. We talked about the project, our feelings after the meeting with the client and propositions about what we could do in the project and how or where we should start. We considered should we implement the back-end of the application or do something totally different. We decided our next week meeting with the client could be typical brainstorm in order to develop new ideas and subjects that added value. The client probably brings some GeoSkeeper-devices to the next meeting that we could test them in practice and hopefully get some new ideas.
