IS5: Killer Mixed Reality Application wins the best InnoSummer team award!

InnoSummer 2010 programme of Demola is about to end. The Final Presentations Event was held on Wednesday, August 25th. This very exciting happening was a review of InnoSummer projects, but as well the occasion where the honorable InnoSummer jury announced the best project of the year.

The best InnoSummer project of the year is IS5: Killer Mixed Reality Application with its augmented reality mobile application "Eventourage." The team consists of Antti Salomaa (design, concepting), Jani Palovuori (back-end software), Kai-Mikael Alanne (client application) and  Vilja Heinonen (graphics). For the team winning meant of course glory, but as well 2 000 € additional reward to be divided among the team members.

All the InnoSummer projects achieved good results and according to the jury representative Jyri Huopaniemi (Director, Nokia Research Center) even the high quality level of InnoSummer 2009 was exceeded. Project IS4: Haptic Paintball was the second most successful project receiving an honorable mention and getting the biggest amount of votes among the audience in Final Presentations Event. 

Showcases of all the InnoSummer 2010 projects will be added to the Demola website in the end of August.
