Terms and conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions apply to the "Demola Mobile Challenge 2010 for students ("the Challenge") which will be held from 26.5.2010 to 22.11.2010. ("Period of Competition").

  2. The organizer of this Challenge is Demola, Hermia Ltd. ("Demola")

  3. Before sending Your submission, You must first read and accept the terms and conditions of the Competition, and agree to accept the final decision of the jury.

  4. This Challenge is open to students from TUT, UTA and TAMK.

  5. Teams of 2-3 students can participate the Challenge. No purchase or admission fee is necessary to participate.

  6. The Challenge closes on 22.11.2010 and eligible submissions must be received no later than end of business day on 22.11.2010. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, ineligible or misdirected submissions.

  7. To enter the Challenge You need to provide Your full name, email address, and country of residence. The personal data You submit via the entry form will be assembled into a database that is used for evaluating the applications and managing the contest, as well as for purposes of contacting You in case of need. This data will not be used for any purposes other than for the purposes of this contest and as otherwise stated below. However, we reserve the right to display Your name when showing content You have submitted to the contest, unless You separately tell us otherwise.

  8. The winners will be determined by a jury appointed by Demola in its sole discretion and such decision shall be final. No further correspondence shall be entertained. The overall three (3) best applications will be awarded. All Prizes are not exchangeable for cash or for value. Demola reserves the right to substitute a suitable prize of similar value in the event any Prize originally specified is not available for whatever reason. Demola reserves the rights not to award any entry at all in case of low quality or if it considers, in its sole discretion, the entries to be incomplete, inaccurate, corrupted or otherwise unsuitable.

  9. Winners will be notified by 13.12.2010 and published by 14.12.2010. If despite reasonable efforts Demola is unable to contact a relevant winner within that period, Demola reserves the right to choose a substitute winner.

  10. Entries must be the participant's own original work and may not have been previously published.

  11. Submissions that are offensive or improper in nature, or are deemed harmful will be subject to disqualification.

  12. The participants agree that the organizer may use, display and publish their names, for advertising and promotional purposes associated with the Challenge, without additional consideration.

  13. The organizer accepts no liability for lost, damaged, misdirected or delayed entries or any technical difficulties affecting the end result of the Challenge or the entry to the Challenge. 

  14. These terms and conditions were written under assumption that they are interpreted in accordance with the Finnish law.
