Hi all there,

We have accomplished the initial task required for the project. We are tuning the project for doing bonus task. We have been able to calibrate and rectify two pairs of images from four firewire cameras (thanks to Qt and OpenCV). We have also created a UI for making the environment more user friendly. You will soon see a 3D video in a maemo device.

A the time goes, we are accomplishing some tasks and there is still some time needed to show some concrete work. However, the project goals are defined very well, its only the matter of time and coding!

It has been a long time since Christmas break! Now I am writing a blog. Everything is going smooth and fine in the project and we are accomplising our defined tasks in the project. However, its still a long time to go!

We have been discussing the goals of our project and its outcome. We have come to final conclusion of our hardware prototype and necessary software platforms. Our group is also expanded to 4 persons and the work would be easily divided and scheduled.

We have a vision to divide the project work in four phases.

1- Define specifications (2 weeks)
    i-  Problem definition
    ii- Software and hardware platform

2- Project goals and schedules (2 weeks)
    i-  Project limitations
    ii- Research and design

3- Implementation work (8 weeks)

Hi,
We had a meeting with Nokia people and we discussed the possibilites of using N-900 in the future with more new SDKs and GUI environment. We are brainstorming in the next meeting for more ideas and we will probably meet some professionals regarding the GUI issue.

We have successfully removed major bugs from the program and now we are concentrating on more advanced issues and how to make the program more practical and concurrent. We still have a week and we would create some creative ideas about future work in the project.

The last week was mainly concentrated on using multi-threading concept for furnishing the existing multi-tracking face detection code.

Our project is being shaped and focused more everytime we meet our Nokia clients. We have been able to use advance concepts in Qt like multithreading and we are now trying our level best to optimize the code for multi-tracking system based on face detection. We are now well aquainted with intermediate level programming in openCV and Qt 4.5.1.
