Badges, we has them!

Okay, so we have finally managed to finish the designing and implementing badges in our precious little application. There are still graphics that need to be done but Vilja is taking care of those for us. Feels good to have at least one part of the application finished and looking good (soon).

Demola InnoSummer Film Afternoon

As suggested by Antti S. on the previous OpenInnoWednesday, we're organising a Demola InnoSummer film afternoon. It takes place on Wednesday 4 August at around 16.00 because the date seemed to suit for most of us.

I see red

Good ideas from harnessing the awesome collective innovation powers of Demola. And so much for the good news. Object detection is still far too slow, not to mention gesture tracking. Unless of course you do slow motion gestures. Probably moving on to color detection next week, maybe that works a bit faster. Or not.

Event Horizourage

This week on Eventourage:

Jani has been working on administrative side of the project, making adding events a lot easier and bug-free (wooh!). I've been testing and debugging said project, and can now happily organize events without worrying if they show up on the list or not. Now we can move on to the actual gaming elements and start polishing the user interface.

We are SAFfering in this heat!

It's been a busy week for Super Awesome Fighters, and the todo-posts are rapidly getting crossed over.

Erittäin hyvä ellei täydellinen

Tiimillä on fiilis, että visio alkaa olemaan valmis. Vielä pieniä pilkun viilauksia ja yllätystekijöitä toki odotamme, mutta kehykset on selvät ja toimivat. Hyvä me! *selkääntaputusta*

NoTA Deep dive has begun

It's a week since the project started. NoTA stack is finally running after some configuring and project plan was just reviewed with minor changes to be made. The team is hard at work making the protocol analyzer plugin and most of all learning as it's new to everyone.

So far everything looks bright, we should hopefully be seeing first packets identified within a week or two.

Rock 'n' Chinima

New week starts with an update. Friday was "such an amazingly productive day" that I simply did not have time to write a blog post. Seems like it is becoming a habit.

JSON and the Argonauts

Apparently web development can take you in strange directions. For example, installing Git to check out some in-development code to get a Javascript library working on IE. Actually using Git turned out to be quite easy. Figuring out how to use the visualization libraries while navigating around browser and library bugs has not been so easy, but we're making progress.

Visualisation Is Here - Soon

Music Space came up with an initial UI plan for the programmers to implement. We've refined the ideas we've had and hopefully they turn out to be just swell. We just wish we could share them here!
