The story of Heikki: the final week
It is the final week of our project. We have the final meeting with the whole group, have the pitching practice, and final pitching.
Although we did not win the best pitching prize for the final pitching, we all tried our best to do it good and do our project good. We all learned a lot form our experience during the project. Thanks Demola for giving us such a good chance.
Final words
Project is now officially finished and the demo of the Vuores Portal is starting to look very nice. Our partners were happy with the outcome and so are we. The demo will be shown at Asuntomessut (Housing Fair) on this summer, and we hope that one day the residents of Vuores can use all the new services of Vuores portal.
Outline of the concept - Ideological perspective
It's been four months since we first met with our project partner at the Demola premises. Juha Suoranta, our project parter and the dean of the School of Education at the University of Tampere in Finland, emphasized in his rather vague initial requisitions that the school's external communication was in need of a reform.
From the concept to an early prototype
Here's a view on Eduleaks from the technical viewpoint.
We created an early prototype based on the concept and it is located at eduleaks.demola.fi.
Why Workforce!?
All ready and we are on fire
Today was the our groups final meeting with our client, teachers and Demola facilitator. We were really proud to show what we have done. We had two versions of the game ready today, as we had planned. One is for kids to play them selves, other one is for the library education sessions and to be played with a teacher as narrator.
The story of Heikki: week 3 of 2012
This week we met on the weekend to discuss how the animation will be and how the pitching practice should be prepared.
Till now, what we got are the bookmark, flyer and poster, the animation is still on the way. We would like to present what we have done during the project process in the final pitching.
So far we have done work about 755 hours.
Last week
The day of presentation is coming, it's already on the following week. This Saturday we had a meeting with Kemal. We were able to show a rough version of our future demo. Kemal gave us a feedback, pointed on what would be nice to change and to add.
